(Per Press Association.) Blenheim, last night. I The total for the twenty-fourth week of I the Now Zealand egg-laying competition I was 2493, bringing the grand total np to 41,129. The weekly average per pen I stands at 24.84, whioh was returned by six pens, all looal entries and all Leghorns. The order of merit in the aggregate is as follows, the first three pons being white Leghorns:—Leger, of Levin, 695; Brooks, of Booth Australia, 641; Marlborough A. and P. Association, 580; Hookey's brown j Leghorns, from Nelson, 571. There are 100 hens in- the broody department.
