TWO POLICE OFFICERS
MURDERED.

Colonel Estmann, ehief of police at Krasnoysvab, has been murdered. His assassin escaped. General Trepofi has forbidden peasant elders to oonduct electioneering or to distribute political literature. He threatens to deport the Opposition leaders to Siberia, and insists that only electors shall participate in the elections. Nothing iB heard of the promised freedom of the preßS. Beceived 4.24 p.m., Oot. 14. St. Petersburg, Oot 15. Workmen at Moscow erected barricades in Eoshdestvenlsky Avenue. _ Cossacks destroyed the barricades and injured six defenders. Assovsky, assistant ohief of police, at Kisbinieff, has been assassinated. He was largely responsible for the massacres of 1903, and later the anti-eemitio dis turbanoes.
