SOCIAL AT PATUTAHI.
The social held in the Patutabi Hatl on Thursday evoning proved a brilliant affan-, fully maintainiog tho prestige which past successes bavo given to this annual fixture Gisborne was strongly represented, the Hallway Stablos’ brakes bringing a oontip-* gent of 31 oouples, while many journefSd * from town and all parte of the country in fta private vehicles, Cassidy’s coaoh vayed a largo number from Ormond. Fully 120 couplos graoed tho floor, and we are sure tho organizing committee must have felt very gratified at seeing their labors crowned with so great a success. Music was capably supplied by Miss McOabe. Extras were played by Misses lurk, Neenau, MoGowan, and Mr Currie. Dancing wag interspersed with soDgs by u- v i urrie ' a Scotoh dance by Mr Ferguson wh:ch was muoh admired, and a sword aanco which was neatly executed. Mr Robb made an efficient M.O. Supper was provided by tho ladios of tho congregation, to whom too much oredit cannot be given. The finanoial result is oxpeoted to be very satisfactory. *
