A PITCHED BATTLE AT MOSCOW
SHOCKING BRUTALITY OF COSSACKS.
By; telegraph, Press Ass'n, Copyright St. Petersburg, Oct 9. Two hundred persons were arrested at Moscow on Sunday. The Cossacks’ brutality was excessive. Numerous rioters were killed. A pitched battle was fought in the Btreetß, the crowds using revolvers and stones, and the troops sabres and carbines. After the fighting had ceased, many boys, men and women were dragged by prefects into a courtyard and compelled to run the gauntlet of two lines of. Cossacks, who used ngaikas and the butt end ot their riflfcs, maiming and disabling most of the viotims.
FATAL BOMB.
By; telegraph, Press Asa’n, Copyright Received 10.45 p.m., Oot. 10. St. Petersburg, Oot 10. • Ten bombs were thrown at different barracks at Tiflis on Sunday night. One Cosßaok was killed and 19 wounded. Fifteen arrests were made.
