FANCY DRESS BALL.
i A very attractive gathering was held at the Theatre Boyai last evening, the oooasion being the aonual juvenile fancy dress i ball held in connection with Mrs W. Grey’s classes. There was a large and representative attendance, and the proceedings were followed with the utmost interest. Ab in previous years the fanoy dances formed a special feature of the evening, and the, performances by the young people refleoted the greatest credit upon the oare and attention bestowed by Mrs Grey. The Nursery Rhyme Lancers by Misses Lunn, T. Kennedy, Jex-Blake, T. Simsoo, and Masters Lunn, Mossman, Jex-Blako and B. Muir was very prettily arranged, and well deserved the hearty applause accorded to those taking part. Another attractive item was the Japanese fan dance by the Misses M. Davies, M, Moore, E. Richardson, and M. Wright, and Masters iß.Mcore and O. Omerod, which was executed with groat taste. A very successful Irish jig was given by Misses May Riddell and Ivy Parker, and the Gavotte by Misses M. and D. Rbbs, G. Kennedy, and P. Allen, and Masters P. Davies, King, Muir, and Winter elicited considerable applause. The skirt and fan dance by Misses Irene Chiisp and Mary Martin was very cleverely performed, as also was the Swedish jig by all tho pupils. The danoing of the children as a whole wa3 of a high order of merit, and amply testified to the oare bestowed upon the pupils by their instructress.
