(Her Presi Association.) Wellington, yesterday. After the telegraph office olosed the .second reading of the JLaod for Settlement Bill was agreed to on the voices, and the House rose at 1.25 a.m.
AFTERNOON SITTING, (Per Press Association.) ... Wellington, last night. The Council met at 2,30. The Eleotoral Bill was read a second time on the voices. The House met at 2.80. Formal business and discussion on Ministerial replies to questions occupied the whole afternoon. EVENING SITTING, Tho House resumed at 7.80. Mr Seddou moved the second reading of the Commissioners Act Amendment Bill .10 remove teohnioal obstacles in the way of the appointment of three judges of the Supreme Court to enquire into the system of audit. Objection Was taken to the provision that proceedings of the Commission shall be snbjudioe, and when the Bill was in committee the Premier agreed to this clause being struok out.
The Bill was put through its final stages du the voioes. Mr Soddon moved the seoond reading of the Eduoation Act Amendment Bill,
