I Mr E. J. Riddiford has informed the I Mayor of Lower Hutt that he will give a I handsome donation to the ooet if Government will establish a Veterinary College in Wellington district. Tho test of whether the offer will be accepted by the | Government is whether the donation will be sufficient to compensate for the additional cost of establishing a college in Wellington as compared with the South, the chief veterinarian’s views being that this work oould be done by the veterinary school connected with the Otago University.
