HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.
WATKIN MILLS’ 'GREAT ENGLISH
CONCERT PARTY.
We baye no doubt that a great treat is in store for the Gisborne public on Monday and Tuesday next, when Mr Watkin Mills will present his great English quintette. The press and publio throughout Australasia are loud in praisß of this splendid combination of artistes. The Sydney Evening News says 11 A splendid reoep. tion was accorded the members of Mr I Watkin Mills’ English ooncert party at the Town Hall last evening, on the coeasion cf their opening concert. The Australasian publio has seldom bad the opportunity of hearing such a really fine combination of singers, who are artists in the truest sense of the word. As the conoert progressed the audienoe were moved to a high pitoh of enthusiasm, and the performers were reor
jailed again and Bgain, and in tbs majority of instances were perforoe obliged to respond to tbe vociferous demands for encores. It was quite evident from the very commencement' that Mr Watkin Mills had displayed rare judgment during bis recent trip to the Old Country in securing the servioes of ; . artists of undoubted excellence in their special calling.” The box plan for both concerts will be opened at Hia Majesty’s Theatre this morning at 10,
