By telegraph,, Pres* A'sa’n,, Copyri'ght Sydney, Sept. 29. Ministers end others attaoked the press In the Assembly for exaggerated statements as to the exodus to Chili. They said that each statements would do harm, and take a long time to undo. The Government were doing what -was possible to make land available. The press, in reply to attaoks re the 7, exodus to Chili, said they were justified in what was goiog on and giving the Government an opportunity of remedying the matter. Mr Oarruthers, who was most indignant, is reminded that eight months ago, in the course of a epeeoh, he said there were thousands of men with the necessary capital to go on the land who had not got Buckley’s Bhow of gelting there, and declared it bad broken the hearts of men who desired to go on the land, who had given up as hopeless whatever ohanco they deemed they had.
