Sydney, September 23. At the Central Police Court this morning the whole of the men were brought before Mr Smithers, S.M.,and dealt with, the proceedings being over in a few moments, The occupations of the men were as

follows : Two grooms, eight clerks, a cabman, a boiler-maker, a billiard-mark-carter, news vendor, caretaker, lift boy, porter, one no occupation, nine laborers, trainer, wool-classer, two gardeners, storeman, coach painter, book • seller, grocer, seaman, stonemason, dealer, and flour seller.

They were charged with being, withI out lawful excuse, in two buildings in I Market-street, kept and used as common gaming houses.
