THE DISABLED STEAMER
NOT SEEN BY MOURA.
.(Per Press Association.) Auckland, yesterday The Moura, which arrived from (inborne at noon, reports that she saw noth, ing of the disabled vessel.
At nine o’clock yesterday morning East Cape reported : "Steamer passed North at 2,80 a m. towing what appeared to be a large steamer." There is much speculation in local shipping circles as to the vessel in tow and the one towing her. The nows that the Moura had arrived in Auckland at noon relieved a certain amount of anxiety, as many thought that the time fitted in very closely with that vessel. It happened that the Moura was actually passing the Gape when the signalling was gomg on, but apparently it was not noticed aboard. Definite information should be reoeived to-day as to the names of the vessels.
