(Per Press Association.) Wanganui, last night. A oonforonoa was hold by the Education Board this morning for tbe purpose of considering details in connection with tho classes proposed to bs established throughout Wanganui educational district in agriculture and dairying. Delegates were present from local bodies, agricultural associations and branches of tbe Farmers' Unions from Hawera to Palmerston, A scheme outlined by Obief Inspector Gray was disoussed at length, providing for the appointment of instructors of agriculture and dairying to visit tbe schools and give practical instructions to teachers. The objeots of the Bcheme were : (1) A more

systematic) and scientific method of dealing with Nature Btudy arid study of plant life ; (2) more definite technical instruction in district high and technical schools; (3) to carry the benefits of technical instruction to outlying centres, The conference unanimously endorsed the proposal, and decided to bring the same before the bodios they represent, with a view to getting financial assistance. It was also resolved that the Government be asked to provide definite annual amounts for three objects of the scheme as laid s down by I't Gray, and that members of ' the different electorates be asked to urge - the matter on the Government. It was resolved farther that in the opinion of this conference Nature study, oombined with systematic and 'practical work in school gardens in Standards 1,2, and 3, should be included in the list of classes for which capitation is paid.
