A cable message just received announces the death at Sydney of Mr H. H. Harman, the well-known and popular eeoretary to the Hon. J. Carroll, who three years ago bad to resign his official position on acoount of ill-health. He spent some time at Cook Islands and also Cambridge Sanatorium, and it was thought an improvement in his health had taken place, but evidently this was only temporary. In additiob it was known that he received a severe shock by the sadden death of his uncle, the late Mr H. D. V. Gilbert, of the Union Company.
