MURDER OF A WOMAN.

The body of Mary Money, a bookkeeper, aged 22, gagged with a veil and shockingly mutilated by a train, was discovered at Merstham tunnel. There were marks of violence on the arm, wrist, and other parts. Fioger marks along the grimy walls of the tunnel suggested that Bhe had olutched the wall in trying to save herself when ejeoted from the traio, which was from London. The assailant has not been discovered.

The mystery recalls Lofroy murdering Mold in the train at Merstham tunnel in 1881.
