HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.
*• THE HUGARDES."
We have no doubt that a crowded house will greet tbc Hugardes at their opening performance at His Majesty’s Theatre tonight. They come to us oredited with being superior to any illusionists yet seen in New Zealand. To-night we are pro* mised three gigantio illusions, and we are given to understand that apart from the originality and mystification of the enter* tainment, the scenery will be exceptionally fine, and to give extra effect th« stage lighting will be increased and a lini;',light plant installed. One of the features e. the entertainment will be a “ great magnev, ; trance,” in whioh articles of all tions and sizes will be seen suspended in the air without material support, culmin*. ating in the euspension of a young lady. The Hugardes have a Warwick animated picture maohiue, which will projeoi eaoh evening an entirely new series of pictures. Mr Edmund Robie. Miss Louie Fisher, and other members of the company will pro* vide mirth and maeio.
