A SUICIDE.
. SLEEPLESS MAN SHOOTS HIMSELF. < {Eel Fiesa 'Association.) Blenheim, last night. Oa Saturday afternoon one of the pa- j tienfci of the hospital while wandering over the grounds of the institution found a few chains away from the building the body of a man named Ftedk. Gordon Williams, 45 years of age. Deceased had apparently shot himself through the head with a revolver, which was lyiog alongside him. He purchased a revolver in town a few daya previously, and evidently committed the fatal deed on Thursday, on which day he left bis home, which is some miles ont of town, saying that ho would arrange for a beiaith trip to Australia. In deceased’s points were found a eum of money and a savings bank book with a oredit of J 570, and it is also known that he was in receipt of ao insurance annuity of 30s weekly, and was to draw a policy of iIBOO iu a few months. A sorap of paper oo whioh he had pencilled his name and address was also fouod on the body. Williams suffered much from insomnia. Ho lived with bis brother on a farm near Blenheim for some years, and was unmarried. He spent 20 years in Western Australia,
