THE EXHIBITION.

L (Per Press Association.) Cbristohnroh, last night. The wookly official roview of tho pro* gross of the New Zea'and International Exhibition, issued to-night, states that Mr E. W. Christmas, the well known.- Australian artist, who was associated with Mr Jonberl in the Australian Federal International Exhibition, as European representatives of the arts seotion, has submitted a bold and comprehensive scheme for obtaining a splendid selection of pictures from all parts of the world. The soheme is expensive, but very thorough, and if adopted will be the mcau3 of providing an exhibition of piotures unprecedented in any part of the world.

The question of transport and accommodation of visitors to the Exhibition is one which requires the immediate attention of those interested. The attendance at the Exhibition is only going to bo limited by the available means for transport and lodging accommodation, and with this knowledge before those interested it is hoped that adequate steps will be taken in time to meet the position. Proposals are under consideration by which the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association will 00-operate with the Exhibition executive, and take over the whole responsibility of providing $a agricultural and pastoral products show worthy of.the ocoasion. f The exeoutive commission invites suggestions of names by whioh the amusernent seotion of the Exhibition will bo known,
