(Per Pres* Association.) Wellington yesterday. After the telegraph office closed the Electoral Bill was reported from Committee with amendments, and the House rose at 1.80. (4* 'AFTERNOON SITTING.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The Conneil met at 2.80. The Land Agents Bill was read a second time by 18 votes to 12. The House met at 2,80. Tbe whole afternoon was occupied in discussing the non-production to the Mines Committee of certain books and papers relating to the State ooal mines.

The House resumed at 7.80. The Statutes' Repeal Bill and Fisheries’ Conservation Bill were read a second time. The Stamp Act Amendment Bill was put through all its stages. Mr Beddoo moved tbe second reading of the Workers’ Dwellings Bill. He said his estimate of tho cost of homes under the Bill would provide very comfortable homes indeed. He anticipated there would be opposition raised to the proposal to allow workers to seoura the freehoid,but that was a commereial objection. Mr Massey-believed it would be very cauoh better to give the workers tbe cbauce of ■ choosing a section wherever ,ihey pleased, and that tho State should advance the money at favorable rates. A lengthy debate ensued.
