By telegraph, Press Ass’n, Copyright

Received 12.45 a.m., Sept. 22. -i . »• : Sydney; Sept 21,

A remarkable case is being hoard in the Equity Court. Lucy Hine is seeking; to have set aside a deed of transfer of v&lu able property to H. T. Henderson and his wife, alleging that it, was obtained by means of threats of violence. .. Plaintiff's statement eet out that Mrs HendersoD, on the ground of misconduct with Henderson, followed her about, publicly abused her, entered her house several times, and assaulted and threatened her until she was terrified into executing tho transfer.

Plaintiff admitted living with Henderson though not as bis wife. A number of letters were put in, indioatiog that she offered inducement to Henderson to leave bis wife.

Henderson, in tbo course of his evidence, simply admitted living with plaintiff. He gave details of a meeting between himself, his wife, and plaintiff, whereat Mrs Henderson declared she would make plaintiff pay dear for the loan of hor husband. She demanded a house from the plaintiff. As a result of the meeting the transfer was made. His wife subsequently told him she could manage better without him, as she had frightened a house out of plaintiff. The defence is a denial of threats of violence,, and that the transfer was made by Lee will.
