HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE.
“THE HUQAttDES.” A lending feature of the entertainment to bo presented by the Hugatdes on Wednesday nest will be a sensation entitled “Invulnerability,” when Jean Hugarde oatches three regulation bullets previously marked by members qf the Budience, and fired at him from she body of the theatre. The Evening Post, speaking of the performance, says ;—“The most startling of the oonjuring feats was that entitled ‘ Invulnerability,’ in whioh Dal Hugarde is the active and his brother Jean the passive peyfoymor. From a tray of bullets the | audienoe ore requested to pick three, and mark them. Throe volunteers then march from the back of the auditorium to the stage, where their rifles are loaded in view of the spectators, with the marked bulfe's They then return to the rear of the pi -, and Jean Hugard, who has been sitting watching the proceedings, now arises and holds before his breast a square of black velvet with a red heart embroidered on it as a target for tbe marksmen. There is a loud repoit and three marked bullets drop from the velvet shield into a plate beneath, which is immediately carried into the stalls, where the bullets aro examined and verified by tbe puzzled spectators. Another loud round of applause greeted the successful performance of this feat. Some very pretty scenery is shown as a setting for the performance, and the ap-1 goiottnente generally are excellent,"
