(Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. • Mr J. C. MoKerrow has been eeleoted as the Independent Liberal Labor candidate for the Wellington North Beat. Mr Arthur JEL. Adams, who recently returned from Europe, has been appointed associate’ editor of tho New Zealand Times.

In the origioal Teachers’ Superannuation Bill provision was made that the annual retiring allowance for a member Bhould be ono-sixtieth part of the salary received during his term of contribution under the Act. No account was taken of previous service. The amendment introduced by. Government yesterday provides, for payment for the previous service at the rate of l-120th of the salary during the term of previous service. The amendment also provides that if a contributor diesi leaving children, a paymont of five shillings a week for each child until he has attained thß age of 14 years be made out of the superannuation fund.
