PUNISHING NATIVES.

The warship Meurthe, from the.-New Hebrides, reports that a punitive expedition from the Pegasus and Meurthe marched to the interior 'of Malicolo with Maxim gunn. The natives fired isome shots, but Done were seen.' The expedition burned villages and destroyed plantations.
