OBITUARY.

SUDDEN DEATH OF A SOLICITOR (Per Press Association.) Christoburoh, last night. Mr W. J. Byrne, barrister and solicitor, well known in Cbristohureb, died suddenly yesterday morning in coosequenoe of breaking a blood vessel. His eldest son volunteered for service in South Africa during tbe Boar war, and was accidentally shot by a comrade on the veldf. The other sons have distinguished themselves at football, being both provincial and colonial representatives. Wellington, last night. Captain Robb, who for the past seventeen years had been in charge of the signal station at Seatoun, Wellington Heads died in the Wellington Hospital on Saturday night. Deceased was formerly eaptain of tbe locally-owned sailing vessels trading between Wellington and China.
