A PLEASANT RE-UNION.

| A most enjoyable social evening was held in Mr Burke’s Roeord Reign Hotel as a windup to tho football match played in Viotoria Domain on Saturday betwoon tho employees of W. 0. Skeet and Mackrell and Colley. Tho employers and upwards of seventy of the employees of both firms were present, Mr Colley presiding. The following toasts were duly honored and responded to :—“ The K'ng," “ The football team of W. 0. Bkeet,” reaponded to by J. Skeet (captain) and W, 0. Skoet; 11 The football team of Mackrell and Colley,” responded tq by J. Stewart (captain) and J, Colley; “ Kindred sports,” was well responded to by Mr Mackrell and H, Lockie ; “ Tho Ladies” were most ably championed by Messrs C. R. Skeet. J. Hackott and T. A. Holdsworth ; " The Press” was replied to by J. Georgeson. Duets were contributed by Miss and Mr F. Burke, and songs by Messrs Collier, Johnston, Hashm, Kingwell, Holdsworth, Stuart, and J. W. Mackrell. The Eooompaniments were ably rendered by Miss Burke and Messrs J. Masterton and Kingswell. Messrs W. 0. Skoet and J, Colley in the course of their remarks referred to the friendly spirit in whioh the match that day had bosn played, and hoped that these matches would become annual fixtures, as they greatly assisted to foster sport, and keep a friendly interest going not only among employees but also the employers. Special thanks were also due to the Band for so kiodly turning out and enlivening the p-oceedings with several selections. The health of 11 Our Host and Hostess" was drunk with musical honors and cheers, and was suitably replied to by Host Burke. The singiog of 11 Auld Lang Syne” terminated one of the most pleasant evenings held Iq Qioborae.
