Christchnrob, last night.

At a meeting of the Counoil of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, held last night, the special committee set up at laßt meeting to inquire into the affairs of the council, presented a report to the annual meeting commenting strongly on the . unbusinesslike and loose way in which the late secretary had discharged his duties, and giving details of negleot on his part. The acting-seoretary stated he had taken possession of as many books and papers belonging to the association as he ooald get. He found the finances were in order. A draft statement was presented re the Shrnbb end Duffy meeting, showing tho receipts to be L 391 11s 9d and the liabi.ities L 826 17s Bd. It was resolved to return the amounts of the guarantees.
