BLACK AND TOMBLESON.
■(To the Editor Gisborne Sir,—ln RiviDg judgment in the above oase His Honor made the following tei marks: "I am also satisfied that plaintifii has grossly exaggerated his damages, expeoting to make more out of the defendant than he could out of sheep.farmihg " *Now I Wish to say that whilst not disputing His Honor’s judgment that these remarks were quite uncalled for and not according to f jet, ee I shall prove. My claim was for 10a per head on the ewes, amount £750, Now say these ewes have 80 per cent, of lambs (which is a low average),value them at 10e as stores: the ewes will dip 81bs of wool at 9d, that is 6s. i This represents £7O for each hundred ewes, total £IOSO, less cost of grazing. I think according to theee figures I have ooneiderably underestimated the damages. I would also like ! to say that although the different stook agents said in their ovidencer thatnbev could reploco a line of owes like these at about 18j 6d, not one of them had any euoh lino on their books for sale, nor did they know whore they could got them, and ~?ouraS iDly 001 th<> Pablloßal ®y? rds * gj.s,
