ALLEGED SLANDER.
o (Per Press Association.) Tirnaru, Saturday. At the District Court yesterday, J. Smart, stationmaster at Orari, and his wife were sued for £2OO damages for slanders uttered by the wife regarding the wife of J. EL Stocker, a storeman, of Orari. No defence was offered, and the defendants did not put in an appearanoe. The jury found for the plaintiff, and awarded Jamages £IOO. In a second case of alleged slander from, dairies the jury found for defendant,
