GOLF TOURNAMENT.
THE FINALS. t (Per Press Association.)' Napier, last nigfrf, The Napier Golf Club’s tournament was concluded on Saturday. In the final for the ladies' championship Miss Soott (Dunedin) played np to her usual standard and succeeded in beatiDg Mrs Perry (Napier) by 4 up and 8 to play. Mrs Perry played well, but not np to her Friday’s game.
The final for the men’s championship saw H. Kawhi (Napier) in splendid form, and he played a grand game, getting 4 up on J. Harold (Wanganui) at tbe 18th hole. In the second round Harold improved bis play, but Kawhi maintained his lead, and at the 15th hole won by 4 up and 8 to Play.
The ladies’ final bogey handioap was won by Mrs A. Kennedy, with Miss E. Davis 2nd, and Miss Todd 3rd.
Tbe men’s final bogey handicap fell to H. J. Smith, E. S. Pearce 2nd, and T T, Goodson 3rd. A '*
In the mixed [foursomes Miss N. Rutledge and H. J. Smith wod, Miss Gorrie and A.A. Kennedy being 2nd and Miss Gould and J. F. Jardine 3rd.
At the conclusion hearty cheers were given for the two champions, and the Maoris danced a haka in honor of Mr J. Harold, the runner-up for the champion-
