THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HOMELESS. By telegraph, Press Ass’n, Copyright Rome, Sept 8. A violent earthquake almoßt destroyed the Pizzo Martirano, Monteleone. There are many victims. Seven persons were killed at Monteleone. There are many homeless, 27 being in gaol injured. , Alarming shocks occurred at Oatan- ( zaro, Messina, and Leggio. Received 4.81 p.m., Sept 10, Rome, Sept 9. Three hundred deaths were caused by the earthquakes. Entire villages were destroyed. Two thousand two hundred people are homeless at Martirono. One hundred people were killed at St. Efanacont. Sixty-five were killed at Sangregorio, Sixty were killed at Tripani, and 60 at Pisoopio. The reports to hand are still incomplete.
