REV. PARRY’S LECTURE
[To the Editor Gisborne .TimeSj
Sir,—Allow me, through the medium of your valuable paper, to ask the Rev. D Parry (Ist) if he will be kind enough to extend to spiritualists the same opportunity of asking questions at the close of hia lecture on “ Christianity and Spiritualism ” as we always extend to " anyone ’’ to ask questions at the dose of any lectures delivered under the auspioes of the Society ; (2) will he agree-after pay- I iDg expenses—to hand over to the hospital any surplus there may bo from the collection. The reason for my asking the second question is that as, prima facie, he (rev gentleman) is delivering his lecture, not for gold, but with the object of instructing the people generally—and in particular—to point out the impossibility of a sopalled Christian being a spiritualist, and as the lecture will be attended by lorge numbers of all shades of religious opinions, it would be in the interests of “ truth ” that no personal gain should be made by anyone employed in such a worthy, objoot.—l am, etc., .. PRESIDENT GISBORNE j BmiIUALISIC BQQIEIX. 1
