The Board passed votes of oondolence to the families of the late Mr S. Johnson (a former member of the Board) and of Dean Hovell.
The Ednoation Department, intimated that £5023 had been voted to Gisborne sohool. A grant for a sehool at Eaiti would reoeive the Minister's attention. Gisborne: Architect to prepare specifications and call tenders for the new sohool.
Matawhero: A grant of £ for £ was allowed up to £7 to oreot a fence. Mohaka : Tenders to be oalled for the erection of a sohool.
To Karaka: Miss Greene's appointmen; was approved.
Te Alai: Miss Greene's resignation was accepted. '■ ■ Waeronga*a-hikn : The architect to report on an application for a bell,
Wairoa: Norman Rigby was appointed pupil teaoher. Waipiro Bay : An application for a screen was left in the hands of tho chairman. The Department to be again reminded of the application for a teacher's reßidenoe.
Whatatutn: Application for capitation allowance granted.
