(Per Press 'Asßociati'oh.) Ohristchuroh, last night. A middle aged man named Thomas Mo. Oombe admitted a charge of having committed an unnatural offenoa at Christ, church, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
Napier, last night. At the.inquest on the body of the man named John Hyland, found dead at the Albion Hotel, the jury returned a verdict of suicide.
At the Supreme Court, to-day Patrick John Oostigan was found guilty of assault* ing Bichard James O'Sullivan and causing him bodily harm. He was remanded for centenoe. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty in the ease of Joseph Lyons, oharged with assaulting Charles HoOarthy, Dunedin, last night. The annual hookey match between the Christchurch and Dunediu ladies' hockey clubs was played to-day, and resulted in a draw, each side scaring two goals. As the outoome of the flooding of the flat, a number of claims for damages oame before the Drainago Board to-night, and wore considered in committee.
