Bombay, Sept 3. A proclamation has been issued al Simla, enforcing tho partition of Bengal in October.
Sydney, September 4. Three bodies of members of tho crew of tho schooner Jonos Brothers, lost on the Oyster Bank, Newcastle, have been recovered.
Melbourne, Sept. 4. Mr Watson says that the Labor party will bo glad to welcome tho proposed British labor dologation, but the proposal seems mainly in respect to preferential trade, wheroon he does not anticipate any likelihood of their securing unanimity amongst labor people in Australia. However, many other questions they will be glad to discuss and to arrive at an understanding upon.
Adelaide, Sopt. 4. The Premier, Mr Price, declared that the labor delegation from England would be cordially welcomed, but Australia was not going to be sacrificed to any tariff bungling in Great Britain.
The Governor’s report practically advocates the employment of colored labor in the Northern Territory. He considers that the development of the Territory to be otherwise not possible.
