From Central Otago I heavy rains ore ropartod. The GiinmorI burn oroek is rising, and tho Woddosburn I creek is in flood. There is no immodiato I prospoot of the rain censing. Dunedin, last night. The weather oloarod up considerably in I tho early morning, and to-day there were only showers of driving mist which did I not last many seconds, although all tho I low-lying seotions in St. Kilda and South Dunodin were a sheet of water. There was an ovorflow of surface water drainage. Tbe damage dono is trifling, On tho railways numerous Binall slips woro oaused by the penetrating rain, and small washouts, but nono of tbess are sorious. Tbe rivers aud creeks were running bank high, but as the woathor was oloaring no damage is anticipated. Tbe misty weather is interfering with shipping, and several Bteamors arc at the heads waiting for dear weather.
