TWO YOUTHS ARRESTED AT ] HAMILTON. i Cambridge, Taesday. i On Sunday night Mr Connolly’s bootmaker's shop was burglariously entered and three pairs of boots were stolen, but there was no trace of forcible entry. Constable MoNamura had' his suspicions aroused re two young men who had been in Cambridge last week, giving the names of Jamioson and Gibbons, It was stated that they were two engineers of the Union Company on a holiday. Ooe of tnem was Buffering from pleurisy. They left the town yesterday morniDg, but the constable traced them to Hamilton. He wont down inab night and arrested them about 11 o’olock. The constable found 43 skeleton keys and what arc believed to bo the prooeeds of many burglaries in Waikato, Waihi, and other parts of the goldfields. The aeoused will be brought up at Hamilton this morning and remanded. Hamilton, Tuesday. Two young men, who gave the names of David Jonkin and John McGregor, who woro arreslod at Hamilton last night on a ohargo of burglary at Cambridge, 4voro brought up at the Police Court to-day, and romanded' for eight days to Cambridge. The capturo was olevorly effeoted. Constable McNamara, assistod by Constable Ryan, in their possession found upwards of 100 keys, inoluding 48 skeleton, o variety of missing erticles, and also a number of articles alleged to be identical with those taken from a Walkino store on the 18th or 19th, when « fair eum of money was also taken. The aeoused had only one peony ia their possession. Thoy are each about 20 years of •ge.—Star.

The Taranaki Hospital Board has reooived a donation of /"9 from a Maori named Beta Wati, in recognition of the kind treatment received at the hospital by Kenata Kirini, the donor being next of kin. The Board expressed pleasure at this token cf appreciation, and instructed the secretary to thank the donor.
