TURANGANUI LODGE, NO, 7. The quarterly-summoned meeting of the Turanganui Lodge was held last night at the Lodge room, Masonic Hall. A record attendance of brethren, including a large contingent for the country, was present, and the prooeediuga wore entered iota with considerable interest. Twenty seven candidates were nominated for membership, and 14 initiated as benefit members. The Lodge has shown a vast progress during the last few months, 65 new members being initiated during the last quarter, making a total of 106 during the last six months, thus bringing the Lodge membership up to 366. Tnis epeakes volumes for the enthusiasm of the officers and members in putting before probable candidates the benefit attained by joining the Druidic Order.

The receipts of the evening totalled to

the round sum of upwards of £l5O, demonstrating that in order to successfully carry on, contributions must be punctually Ipaid by members. It has been definitely decided to issue a Druidie pamphlet, embodying the names of officers, particular,i referring to the Burgeon's hours and chemists, etc., also the names of all contributing members (alphabetically arranged), etc. After the business a harmony meeting was held, refreshments being provided, and ample done justice thereto. Songs vere contributed by Bros. G. Goldsmith, G. Colebrnok, H. J. Gush, W. West, J. D. Bell, and a recitation by Bro. A. Park. Some conjuring tricks by Bro. G. Miller were much appreciated. Toasts were proposed, including " The King and Druids,” “ Kindred fJocieties,” and “ Cor ’• try Brethren,” and were responded to by Bros. R. Robb (secretary 1.0.0. F., A.C.), J. C. Griffin, 8. Lyons, W. Clayden, and J. Georgeson.
