LATE SHIPPING.
ARRIVAL OF AOTEA AND BRAVO
The auxiliary schooner Aotea arrived’ from Auckland and Coast ports at, 6 o'olook last evening. Captain Brown re*, ported that the vessel left Auokland at 10' a.m. on August 15. In the afternoon strong north-east gale was experienced,and the Aotea auqhored in Aorangi Bay until the 17th. On the 19th the vesselbad to run baok to Slipper Island for shelter, On the 21st landed cargo at' Hick's Bay and Te Araroa. Awanni was reached on the 22nd, bat there was too much sea.to work, and the vessel oame on to Tuparoa and landed cargo there on the 23rd, Worked Port Awanni the same day, and came on to Waipiro. Banded and shipped cargo on the foliowing morning, Tokomaru was worked that day, and the Aotea anohored at Tolago Bay the same evening. On the 26th oargo was landed and shippod, and the vessel left at 1 p.tn., but had to run back for shelter to Tolago with the scow Bravo. The barometer was at 30.10. The Aotea got under weigh at 5 a.m. The wind,' which was westerly outside, hauled round to the eastward'at nooD. The sea was too rough to work Pakarae. The Aotea wae berthed at the wharf at 6 o’olook. The cargo consists off 12 tons of coal, 10 tons sugar and 9 tons* general cargo for Nathan and Co., flour* and sugar for Common, Shelton and Co., 6000 ft timber for various consignees, 5 tons joinery for Evans and Nfeld, 8 tons joinery for Clayton Bros., and 60 packages sundries The Aotea oommences loading oargo on Wednesday, and sails for Coast ports and Auckland on Friday next (weather permitting). The scow Bravo arrived from Auckland and Tairua last evening with a careo off 40,000 bricks. The Bravo left Tairua on' the 19tb, and experienced variable winds,, having to shelter at Tolago Bay from astrong southerly. The ketch Coronation sailed for Auckland last evening. Her cargo included IQ' tons manure and some oil from MessrsNelson Bros, and 13 tons linseed from* Dalgety and Co.
The auxiliary schooner Waiapu runs up’ to the Islands with a cargo of flour and' sugar, returning with guano, beforocoming to Gisborne again,
