SERIOUS FIRE
GAUSED BY BOY DROPPING MATOH ’(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. A fire broks out early on Saturday evening in the drapery and clothing store of J Watson, junr., Port Chalmers, and the building, whioh is of stone and brick, was completely gutted. The fire started through a boy lighting the gas in the shop window dropping a ma'ch among inflammable show goods, it spread rapidly, and though, the fire brigade worked hard, practically Done of the contents were saved. The stook, valued at £SOOO, was insured in the Alliance and New Zealand Office for £2OOO, and in the National Offioe for £500; the building in the New Zealand and Alliance Offioe for £6OO. Stock just landed by the Mamari, of thq value, of £IOOO, was uninsured,
