FOOTBALL ACCIDENT.

PLAYER SERIOUSLY INJURED,

(Per Press Association.) DunediD, last night. Daring the football matoh yesterday between Southland and Otago, W. Bailey, one of the Otago players, met with a serious accident, and there is little hope of his recovery. In the scramble Bailey was turned over and two men fell on top of him, his spine being injured. It is intended to use X rays with the hope of finding the injury and possibly an operation may follow.
