LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIPB.

'(Per Press Association.) Napier, last night. The New Zealand Ladies’ Golf Championship Tournament was continued today. Tbo morning was occupied with a Stroke Handicap Match for a cup presented by Mrs G. P. Donnelly. The following are the scores : Miss Campbell (Christchurch) handicap 5 net 98, Miss P. Bidwell (Wairarapa) 18—99, MissHaunay (Wairarapa) 10 pier) 16—103, Mrs E. C. Pierce (Auckland) B—lo 4, Mrs Bloomfield (Auckland) 8— 106, Miss W. L. Cotter (Auckland) 15— 106, Miss Jackson (Wanganui) 9—107, Mias Buckiand (Auckland) 9—112, Miss Symes (Cbristohurob) 13—115, Miss L. Fitzroy (Hastings) 13—121, Mrs K. Tareha (Napier) 6—122, Miss Newbould (Napier) 15 —126. In the afternoon the fourth round of the Championship matches was played. Some really good play was witnessed. There was a capital game between Miss Rutledge and Mrs Saunders ; play was very eveD, the two ladies being all square at , the eighteenth hole, but an extra hole was played, Miss Rutledge winning. Another close game was the one between Miss Stevenson and Miss Scott, the former winning by 1 up at the 18th hole. Miss Lewis, playing her usual fine game, beat Miss Wilson by 5 up and 3 to play, and Mrs W. E. Bidwill played a wonderfully good game against Miss James, whose form in the previous rounds had been very good. Mrs Bidwill won by sup with 4 to play. The general impression is that the final for the Championship will be played between Miss Lewis (the holder) and Mrs Bidwill. , The following are the soores of the fourth round : Miss Rutledge beat Mrs Saunders 1 up at the 19th hole. Miss Btevenson beat Miss Scott 1 up at the 18th hole. Miss Lewis beat Miss Wilson 5 up and 3 to play. I Mrs W. E. Bidwill beat Miss James 5 op aud I to play.
