The announcement that the Messrs MacMahon were bringing to Gisborne, in ail its entirety, their popular ( dramatic organisation, direct from His Majesty’s Theatre, Auokland, has created great satisfaction amongst all classes of the theatre-loving community. The company, whioh is said to be one of the strongest touring the colonies, numbers 24 wellkhown nnd popular artists, selected from the principal Australian theatres by Mr Ohas MacMahon during bis recent visit to Sydney. The “ Girl of My Heart,” whioh will be produced for the first time in Gisborne, has.been chosen for the initial performance on Wednesday next. In this suocesstul nautical play Miss Gill will make her reappearance in one of her most perfeot characterisations. The season, whioh is limited to three nights, should prove immensely successful. There will be an entire change of bill each evening. On Thursday the company will present “ A Sister’s Sacrifice,” on Friday'" Bearing Her Cross,” and on Saturday nn entirely new version of 11 Unole Tom's Cabin." The box plans for the season will be oponed at Mr Miller's on Monday morniDg at 10.
