ACCIDENT TO GIRL.

HER HAIR CAUGHT IN SHAFTING (Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night. A young girl named Mabel Sheppard, employed at J. Wilkie and Co.’s factory, met with a terrible accident this aftsrnoon. Her hair, which was flowing, caught round some of the shafting. Bho was. released and removed to the hospital, where it was found that the whole of the scalp, and bait of one ear, had been torn away. The hair and ear have been carefully roplaced, and it is hoped the girl may recover. At present she is unable to take ohloroform.
