OBITUARY.

Christchurch, last night. Obituary ; Charles F. French Pemberton, Civil engineer, who arrived at Wellington in the ship Gleaner in 1857. He joined the Government service and was appointed district surveyor at Ashley. He surveyed a number of towne in North Canterbury.
