(Per Press Association.) [ Christchurch, last night. For the Timaru to Christchurch oyole road race, to bo run on September 2nd, 270 competitors have been handicapped. Some of the Napier and Auokland entries, I not being to hand yet, have therefore not been handicapped, J. Arnst (Timaru) starts from soratoh, C. G. Smith (Hastings) 2min, H. P. Arnst (Ashburton) Bmin, H. Henneston (Palmerston North), T. M. J Randapote (Timaru) smin. Twenty-eight competitors bavo 50mins’ start, whioh is the greatest handicap.
