Shortly alter the start Freedom took charge, and led upon the third round, his closest attendants having been Bosun, Find Out, Lamond, The Toiler, and Beilis. When on the rail- j way aide at the last turn round, Beilis quickly went to the front and won hard held by two lengths. Time, 8 BJ. Freedom, who fell at the last hurdle, and Equity, who came down early, were badly injured, and had to be destroyed. Adelaide, August 13. The National Hurdle Race resulted : York i Actress 2 Vendor ... 3 York held a good position throughout, .nd going to the front at the distance won asily by a length. Time, 4.524.
