The natives are greatly iuoousod at tho proposed partition of Bougal provinces, adding a portion of Assam, lmmouso meetings of protest have boon held at Calcutta, and endorsed resolutions passed at recent provincial meetings to boycott British goods as a pretest against British indifference to Indian affaire, and tho Government's disregard of Indian public opinion.
