ELECTIONEERING
THE “ NEW LIBEBALS.”
(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. Messrs Taylor, Laurenson, and Fisher returned from tho South, and express satisfaction with the result of their campaign. Mr Laurenson is confident that if Mr Fisher is granted an enquiry, either before a Parliamentary committee or,a Judicial body, he will be able to justify his charges regarding tihe, Captain Seddon vouoher. Both ho f.nd Mr Taylor are of tho opinion that, as Mr Fisher did not apologise or withdraw the statement when the Premier's proofs against him were produced, there is only one course open to him as an honorable man if ho fails to justify the charges before enquiry, and that is to resign his seat. Tho party address a public meeting here on Monday, and one in Wellington Town Hall soon after tho return to that city. The sum of £2O bas been handed to the Dunodin Hospital extension fund, being the surplus after all expenses had bean paid in connection with the Dunedin meeting. ?
Tho party intend giving addresses in several towns in tho South Island after the session, and will make arrangements for candidates to stand in the interests of the New Liberal Party.
