DAMAGE TO FRANK GUY,

By 'telegraph. Press 'Ass’n, 'Copyright Reoeived 8.26 p.m.,2Aug. 6. Sydney, Aug. 5. The agent of the barquentine Frank Guy, en route jfrom Napier to Sydney, is advised that the vessel pat into Brisbane to-day, damaged. She encountered Eevere gales orossing the Tasmaa Sea. The chain plates were broken and other damage done to the hull.

Mr Clayton, owner of the Frank Guy, also received word on Saturday that the vessel had arrived at Brisbane, She was 85 days out from Napier to Sydney, having left the New Zealand port on the Ist nit., and considerable anxiety was felt for her safety. Captain Weir, of the Frank Guy, reported that the vessel met with terrific gales in Tasmaa Sea,, and was blown to Brisbane, which was reached in a damaged condition. Mr Clayton was asked to cable £BO for the purpose of oovering the cost of repairs,
