£Per. Press Association.^ Timaru, last nigh

An inquest was held at MouDt Peel on Saturday into the - death of tho young man W. G. Shaw. Ho had driven a waggonette to Rangitatakrailway station, and returning in the dark missed the ford on Hinds stream. He got among the boulders, and was thrown out of tho trap. He fell on his head, was stunned, and drowned in two feet of water. He was found by another station employee following an hour later. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
