Received 11.83 p.m., July 20. Adelaide, Juiy 20. Parliament has opened. The Governor’s speech referred to the bright prospects ol the State and substantial improvement in the finances. Mr Price, leades of the Opposition, moved a sudden death motion lor adjournment. The Government were defeated by 24 to 17. Prior to the motion tbo Premier announced that he would not accept sudden-doaih motions. He would meet the House from day to day so long »b the Opposition moved such motions and refused to discuss the Ministerial polioy.
